nothing but runaround
It’s absolutely amazing how difficult it is to contact somebody at eBay
I had to do a credit card dispute because the product I purchased was listed from Canada however it shipped from China. The original time it was gonna take to be shipped based on being out of Canada was reasonable however, once it was shipped, I waited more than two months with the package being stuck stateside
eBay offered no resolution other than contacting the seller
By then the seller had accrued a lot of complaints
I contacted the seller and got the “I’m checking on this†routine
Anyway, eBay sent me a message after I did a chargeback with American Express and I wanted to respond back to them and explain to me how customer service was limited, giving me no choices for resolution however that’s impossible to do
on August 17, eBay will quit taking American Express, which is a shame because that’s the only place you can get resolution for disputes as you surely not gonna get it from eBay
This will severely impact my eBay purchases

Mentor2 years agoThe eBay guarantee is only 30 days. After that, you need to dispute with the funding source.

Mentor2 years agoYou could have filed an "item not received" case with eBay the day after the last estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History. At that point the seller would have had three business days to provide tracking that showed delivery or to refund you. If the seller did not cooperate you could have asked eBay to step in and refund you directly.

After August 17th you may still be able to use your Amex card by adding it to a PayPal account, choosing PayPal at eBay's checkout and choosing the Amex card as the source of the funds.
