Note to self-Payout
I recently sold my Nikon D4s camera and since the buyer paid with an eBay promotional discount it said a note to self on eBay saying, “ the buyer has paid with an eBay discount. This will not affect the funds you will receive.†It said I would be able to withdraw the 2,000 to my account after the item is delivered. After the item was delivered it said the buyer has cancelled the order and subsequently I received a payout for $9 and eBay is telling me I am unable to get my money although it said I would. The buyer has since immediately removed their account and now has my camera in their possession. I have contacted eBay support and sent the screenshots that say I will receive my money and have not heard back from since. What should I do?

Mentor2 years ago@lamou_frit I am sure that this is frustrating and scary for you. 😞
Where did you see that message that the buyer paid with a discount? eBay does sometimes offer discounts by they would ONLY be for a small % off that they cover.
Buyers can not cancel sales on eBay unless the buyer did a credit card charge back because is was a fraud purchase. When that happens if you shipped to the address provided with signature on delivery then you should be covered by eBay by providing the tracking and signature delivery information in the case.
Here's how to contact a eBay customer service Managed Payments Agent:
On a computer go to your Seller Hub Overview page and click on SUMMARY
https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/summary
Next scroll ALL the way down to the lower right corner and click on the ? mark. Then you will see a pop up and a button that says " Have us call you"
