NOT up to YOU (Ebay)
First of all, it is none of Ebay business as to whether or not I choose to give out my email address or anything else. AND, I have been leaving feedback to Ebay everytime I get a chance. I do not beleive you when you say that you all are reading, reviewing, whatever Ebay says they do, you are NOT doing it. I know this because I have NEVER received any kind of response to my messages/comments that I send to Ebay. Ebay has imposed their self when and where they have NEVER been asked to do so. Is that correct?
I'm sorry, but I am ONE person that's not afraid to say it. I WISH I could start Selling on Ebay again but I don't like the way things have been 'taken over' on here! Maybe someone can explain to me what gives them the right to start offering buyers a lower price, like a percentage off?? My messages are inundated with offers, NOT from the Seller! but from Ebay! offering me discounts, percentages off, etc.. Do the Sellers give Ebay permission to do this?

Mentor2 years agoeBay doesn't publish an email address which is why you aren't receiving responses. If you are leaving feedback to eBay using the Tell us what you think, Feedback, Comments links to give eBay you thoughts about page format, new tools, etc., eBay doesn't respond to those as a general rule. They collect that information and review it when they are working on page revisions. If they give you an option allowing you to be contacted, that's for use if they want or need to contact you. That doesn't mean they will contact you.

Mentor2 years agoSellers can choose to offer discounts to buyers. The email comes from eBay, but the offer is from the seller.

Email addresses are prevented from being exchanged prior to the sale to keep the transaction on eBay. After the sale, you can exchange contact information.
