Not the high bidder.
Seller is billing me for an item that I was out bid on. It even states I was out bid. The bidder ID is not my ID but they say it is. The bidder ID is ... r***1 (1729)... not my bidder ID. My bidder ID is.... k***r ( 743 ) .... and the sold price is more than I bid. I contacted seller but they said it was my name as high bidder, but the ID does not match my bidder ID. I think the seller bid the item up and now wants me to pay the higher amount, but I will not do it. Ebay is no help everything is computer. Email help is computer generated answers. Phone call is computer generated answers.

·2 years agoHi @klugclair Did the seller send you a Second Chance Offer? If the winning bidder cancels, sellers can offer the item to the next highest bidder, but you're not required to buy it.
You're right, the bidding history shows you did not win the auction. Unless you also have a second ID with 1729 feedback that also bid, then you're not responsible for paying for this item.
