Not Receiving Any Emails From eBay For More Than a Week
My communication preferences have not changed, but I haven't received my expected Saved Search results, tracking notifications, bid confirmations, ending-soon notices, etc. Am I the only user experiencing this? My messages here in the web browser are working fine -- not banned -- currently bidding. Just not receiving E-mails. I'm actually clicking the "Email me" checkbox for this post, so curious if I'll be notified. I have also checked the "Email copy to me" of questions I asked to sellers, but did not receive them either. Last Email from eBay was Oct. 24 (today is Oct. 30).

OP9 months agoJust to bring some closure after 3 weeks, I never received a response from eBay despite the person I spoke with on the phone saying they'd investigate. So a couple days ago I changed my E-mail address for my account to a back-up one using Gmail. The same day I received the usual type of E-mail regarding the delivery status of a lot I had won the preceding week, & the next morning I began receiving new-item E-mails from saved searches again. So basically eBay has a serious problem blocking their sending of E-mails for no reason to someone who's been a member since 1999 & using that same E-mail for the past 2 decades.

Thanks for coming back to report.
I am glad you found a work around, even though it shouldn't have to be that way.
I wonder what would happen if you switched back to your old email again?
Did you contact your email provider to see if they are blocking eBay emails?

OP9 months agoI am the E-mail provider for a dotcom domain I bought back around 2002, which I've been actively using since then with many major websites. I can choose different names to track which websites end up getting spammed (currently using about 300). So I'm fully aware of incoming spam, & like I said before, I was able to get the notifications of your replies to me here on this Community at that same E-mail domain. So it's as if the Community source code handles E-mails differently than the main eBay site does. And yes, I thought about switching back for a test, & may still do that, but right now I don't want to risk messing things up when there are important items I'm planning to bid on & want to get notified about. If/when I do, now that I know how to use this Community messaging, I'll post an update. Thanks again for your helpful replies!

OP6 months agoOkay, a few months later I've been somewhat forced into doing the test you suggested, EastLaneAve. Last month after submitting an offer of $5.50 for an item listed at $11, the seller blocked me without sending any messages. After a few weeks, I decided to just Buy It Now using eBay's Guest payment method & my original E-mail that I stopped using back in Nov.; however I have not received any messages regarding that purchase & have no way of tracking it since I deliberately did not click the option to create an account for it. As I mentioned in an earlier response, along with regular E-mails to my Gmail address for my Saved Searches, offers, bids, purchases, shipment statuses here on eBay, I also receive regular E-mails from another business that uses that address that eBay stopped using. So yes, eBay's system blocked my original address without ever notifying me.

That sounds frustrating.
Have you checked your spam mail? Or contacted your email provider to see if they are blocking email from eBay?
I am getting email from eBay, including saved searches and tracking updates.
