Not letting me bid on a particular seller
I am bidding on some items perfectly fine and with no issues, and then I missed out bidding on an item I really wanted because my eBay account is telling me I have 2 unpaid purchases within the last 12 months… but it’s not coming up with that every time I bid, its only on listings from one particular seller, and not every seller? I messaged the seller and they said I don’t have any outstanding payments with them, and that haven’t seen me bid on anything and not pay for any of their items previously. I also have all of my other purchased items currently paid for and up to date, and am only posting on here because it is the only option eBay has given me on a Sunday at 8pm

·3 years agoIt depends on the seller you are trying to buy from. Some don't enable that Buyer Requirement (block) at all. Some enable it but at more lenient parameters than the strictest level of blocking anyone with 2 in the past 12 months (some leave it at the defaults which are the lowest number for each parameter--2 strikes in the past 1 month--some long-time sellers haven't updated it from the old maximum timeframe of 6 months, and some for whatever reason choose to give more than second chances--the choices go up to 100 strikes in the lookback period).
So for the strictest level you will no longer be blocked by any seller (for that reason anyway) 12 months (and 1 day) after your second to last strike was issued (I know eBay no longer uses that term but it's a lot easier to type and comprehend than what the PR types decided eBay would call it). For those who don't have it set you can buy right now (assuming no other issues, such as running into your buying limits or another Buyer Requirement by that seller). For any other combination of x strikes in y months they will not apply to you when your xth to last strike is older than y months. You are supposed to be able to find your "unpaid item cancellations" in your Purchase History--I'm guessing in the Cancellations section; the x months runs from when the cancellation occurs, not from the date of sale.

·3 years agoSome sellers block buyers with 2 UPI's within the last year and some don't.
You'll just have to finds sellers that don't use the block.

Not all sellers have their buyer requirements set to block 2 in 12 months.
Until these strikes age off in a year, you will have to find sellers who either don’t care or those that don’t know about the block.
