NOT, A Business EBay Seller
Hello, EBAY must be aware that I am “hobby†seller on, eBay. The sales volumes on my account are VERY low. I sell items rarely or infrequently, majority of any items listed for sale I’ve tried to sell have been from my personal belongings, and I rarely exceed $200 in sales per year. I'm not building a business on eBay; my activity is less frequent. I’ve also been a regular buyer on eBay as well for essentials or things personally needed. I’ve never received a 1099-K. I do not rely on eBay as a main income. Please, understand. Thank you.

Neither has my selling ID.
That's because neither of us has apparently reached that minimum dollar amount of sales . . . . .
at which the IRS requires eBay to issue a Form 1099-K.
(By the way, for 2025 that dollar amount is $2,500. For 2026 and the future, that dollar amount is $600. Those are the current minimums. They could change.)
What all American eBay sellers must come to understand is that the IRS expects all federal income tax payers to list all of our income, from all sources, on our 1040 tax return form.
Even if eBay does not issue a 1099-K to us.
Even whether we call ourselves a business seller or a hobby seller or a consignment seller or a tired seller or a -- fill in the blank.
