Non-responsive seller with recent negative feedback—how can I encourage shipping without order cancellation?
Summary: jkrzwyld purchased two bundles from a seller on eBay but has not received any response or shipping updates, despite the seller's high overall rating. Recently, the seller's negative reviews have increased significantly. jkrzwyld seeks advice on how to encourage the seller to ship the items without having eBay cancel the orders.
Situation: I bought two separate bundles from the same seller 8 and 6 days ago. Neither item has shipped, and the seller hasn't responded to my messages. Although they have a overall 98% rating (10k+ sales), their last 90 days show a spike in negative reviews outnumbering positive ones 5:1.
Question: I got a great deal and want the items, but eBay support usually just cancels non-shipped orders. Is there any way to prompt the seller to ship without having eBay cancel the transaction?

No, I suspect something has happened and the seller is no longer shipping.
Here is how to formally request a refund of your full payment when an item doesn't arrive.
1) Look at your purchase history here: https://www.ebay.com/mye/myebay/purchase
- View Order Details
- Check the Estimated Delivery Date for your purchase, and
- Check the tracking for your purchase
When it is past the estimated delivery date (and there is no tracking, or the tracking doesn’t show that is close to delivery):
2) Open an "Item Not Received Case". You can do that right here by clicking on the photo of your item and following the steps: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/-/reporting-item-didnt-receive?id=4042
(If it is not yet time for a case to be opened, it will give you the exact date after you click the photo.)
You will be able to select whether you want the Item or a Refund
-- You have 30 days from the estimated delivery date to open a case)
I would ask for a refund. Either way, the seller CAN ship at this time if they intend to ship.
3) You can check the status of your case here:

The seller must respond within 3 business days to provide a delivery update, offer a replacement, or give you a refund. If the seller doesn't respond after 72 hours, ask eBay to Step In. You must do this before 21 days after the case was opened.
