What do you do when someone does not pay for an item they bid on and won?

·3 years agoYou wait out the 4 calendar days the buyer has to pay under eBay rules, then you go into your list of sold items (e.g. in the Seller Hub) and choose (most likely under a more actions type button that brings down a menu) to cancel the transaction and then for the reason pick that the buyer hasn't paid (that reason will not come up until you can use it, so if not recheck your date calculations--the day of purchase is day 0 UNLESS you send an invoice which restarts the clock to ANOTHER 4 days or at least might do so).
You add their ID to your Blocked Bidder/Buyer List. You make sure you have your Buyer Requirements set to block buyers with 2 or more such cancellations in the past 12 months. Go to the Site Map (link at the bottom of this and most ebay.com pages) Sell Section (use the shortcut at the top--it's a long scroll down) and you'll find the link to those and several other useful seller tools. The Buyer Requirements are at the bottom of the page you are first taken to when you click the link to the BB/BL.
