non payers

Question

getting a rash of non-payers who also don't communicate, why doesn't eBay step in. why can't sellers post negative feedback against these non-payers when your only option is to click positive?

Sellers have been prohibited from leaving negative feedback for buyers since 2008.

When a buyer does not pay, cancel the transaction after 4 days of non-payment have passed, specify "buyer didn't pay".

In Seller Hub, go to Orders.
Find the order you want to cancel, and from More actions, select Cancel order.
Select "buyer didn't pay" as the reason for the cancellation and then select Submit to finish.

All unpaid items are recorded on a buyer's account. Buyers who have excessive unpaid items, or canceled transactions, may have limits imposed, or lose their buying privileges.

Place the non-paying buyer on your Blocked Buyer List:

Sellers are not allowed to leave buyers negative feedback or negative comments in feedback.

This is what you do when a buyer doesn't pay...

If a buyer hasn't paid by day five, select the cancellation option in the dropdown next to the order using the reason that the buyer hasn't paid. The buyer will earn an unpaid item strike on his account. Two or more and his ability to buy will be limited or even ended.

Add the buyer to your blocked buyer list here:

Scroll down that page and turn on the option to auto-block buyers with 2 or more unpaid items within 12 months. That will help to protect you from repeat offenders.

When you follow this process, eBay DOES take action.

You need to cancel the sale due to nonpayment and the buyer receives a strike and your fees will be returned. You don't need to leave any feedback.
