Non-paid orders and holding money?
I cannot use eBay ever again. Not for selling. I don’t know how the other resellers are doing it. They allow people with zero ratings to buy. These people seldom actually buy, but they do cause your product to be held up for four days waiting for them to cancel. I’m not a regular seller I sell things occasionally. I don’t sit around for four days, Waiting for someone to decide whether or not they’re going to pay me. I had to cancel an order to get out from under it. The one I was able to sell still hasn’t been paid to me. Now eBay holds my funds for some unknown period of time waiting for I don’t know what. They are certainly not on the side of the seller. I don’t know if I’m ever going to see the money for the item I sold before I realized what eBay was doing to me. I will never sell on eBay again. They don’t even have a way to contact them to complain. There is absolutely no desire by eBay to hear any of our complaints. I’m done.
inceptions
Mentor3 years agoThere is no reason to complain. You agreed to the policies when you listed your items for sale. New sellers who don't learn how eBay works before they start selling are often unhappy when they find out things don't work the same why they do in their imaginations.
As a new seller, you're subject to payment holds. Learn how that works here:
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold/payments-hold?id=4816&st=3&pos=1&query=Payments%20on%20hold&intent=payment%20holds&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1450
As for buyers who don't pay...
If a buyer hasn't paid by day five, select the cancellation option in the dropdown next to the order using the reason that the buyer hasn't paid. The buyer will earn an unpaid item strike on his account. Two or more and his ability to buy will be limited or even ended.
Add the buyer to your blocked buyer list here:
https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements
Scroll down that page and turn on the option to auto-block buyers with 2 or more unpaid items within 12 months. That will help to protect you from repeat offenders.
To avoid non-payers entirely, list as fixed price (no auctions or best offers) and turn on the option in the listing form for Immediate Payment Required.
