Non-deliverable packages with errant tracking numbers
Hello,
I’ve had a number of orders recently get returned to the sellers marked as undeliverable. One seller noted that the tracking numbers generated for the returned items he’s seen begin with ESUS which is unrecognizable by USPS.
Has anyone else noted this issue?

Mentor11 months ago@dober-7 ESUS numbers are what is used for the eBay Standard Shipping Labels for select items.
eBay Standard Envelope is a Metered Mail shipping method and the tracking can only be read by the sorting equipment. The envelopes must be flexible enough to bend around a standard coffee mug.
You can't look it up on the USPS site like regular tracking you have to use this tracking tool> https://www.trackmyshipment.co/
You can file a not received refund request OR work with the seller to ship the item again. If it is a small flat item as I suspect then they may wish to reship with a postage stamp as that will get to you faster.
The sellers should be dropping these in the Metered mail box at the post office so they are handled correctly.

That happens with items sent through eBay International Shipping. Tracking numbers starting with ESUS are eBay’s internal tracking numbers used only from the seller to eBay’s U.S. hub.
Once the package reaches the hub, the seller’s part of the process is finished. If the item cannot be delivered overseas for any reason, eBay refunds the buyer and does not return the package to the seller.
The ESUS number will not show any movement on USPS since it isn’t a USPS tracking number. This is normal for international shipments handled by eBay.
