No returns scam
Simple, just sell something with no returns and pocket the cash. Buyer beware is the rule of buying on line? Has anyone else run into this trap? Use Paypal or a Credit card to pay and too bad for you. The institutions just return you back to Ebay and then you get the message: "Seller does not accept returns". A catch 22 folks. LOL

Does this mean that you actually made an attempt on PayPal or a chargeback with your credit card company? You have to try eBay first. If you go somewhere else first, then you forfeit your protection with eBay.

·3 years agoIf you can return and item depends on the reason for the return and the sellers return policy.
If you buy an item and it doesn't fit, you don't like the color, you changed your mind and the seller has a no return policy, you can't return it.
Ir an item is damaged, defective or not as the seller described, then you're covered by the MBG and can return it for a refund.

Mentor3 years agoActually, that isn't true. No returns just means the seller doesn't want the item back. It doesn't mean no refunds. The eBay 30 day money back guarantee overrules seller policies. You would be surprised how many sellers do not know this.
Go to your purchase history and click on return this item. Choose your reason. The seller has 3 business days to provide a return label to get the item back or refund without th return. If not, you need to return to the case after the 4th day and ask eBay to step in. They will refund from the seller's funds.

OP3 years agoLOL sounds simple. However, have you tried your solution? Ebay simply replies that the seller does not make refunds. The next steps are send a email to Ebay contact address and post something on this site. Internet pressure is amazing. No company wants bad PR out there. I stand by my post and thank you for your reply. I think most people just give up and thus no problems for the seller or the company. [It is so frustrating to get a catch 22 from banks and online payment sites like PayPal ["this is a 3rd party transaction"]. I will just limit buying online to the competition or read more carefully. Respectfully, an old school customer.

That only happens if you have chosen a "remorse" reason for the return. If you choose "does not match description" the seller's policy does not matter.

Mentor3 years agoHi @wawo758 eBay seems to be impervious to internet pressure. eBay has been battered and insulted since day one and it just keeps going. There are entire platforms and groups devoted to hating eBay and it doesn't make any difference. eBay is still the fastest growing retail site. Paying on any site with PayPal backed by a credit card is the safest way to pay for anything anywhere. It would seem some details are missing from your post. How long has it been since you paid for the item? Good luck!
