Summary: riverside_emporium shared their experience of receiving a returned iPad without the accompanying accessories and with a passcode still set, rendering it unusable. They have yet to receive a response from the platform about this issue. disneyshopper and comics-scifi-collectibles advised riverside_emporium to contact the buyer to request the passcode needed to access the iPad.
I had an iPad returned to me. The iPad was bundled with the pencil, tips, case, and charging cord. I got just the iPad with its case back. So had to go out and buy another
pencil and cord. After charging the iPad, why, look, the buyer never erased the thing and a passcode is on it still. So, I got back an item I can't use.
I opened a ticket about the items I didn't get back with the iPad, plus the fact a passcode is still on it, preventing me from using the tablet.
Haven't heard a thing about it. I suppose I could take it to an Apple center and maybe get help there.
But the buyer got his refund, and I got back a tablet I can't use, and had to buy a new pencil, and a new cord to charge it.
Would I be wrong to contact the buyer to get the code so I can access the tablet?

OP1 week agoThanks for your replies. I contacted him and got the passcode. But because he didn't wipe the thing, I can't do it until he takes it off his Apple account. I can't do a thing with the iPad until he does that. Buyer got their refund, I got back part of what I shipped to them and a tablet I can't do anything with if he doesn't remove it from his account.
Has anyone else had this happen? I still have heard nothing from eBay.

Mentor1 week ago@riverside_emporium I agree with @disneyshopper .... contact the buyer. If you go the order details you can access their phone number to text them.
