No remedy for FedEx shipping overcharge
FedEx overcharge. No Redress on Ebay? Been a seller on Ebay for a few years using the discounted prepaid Ebay shipping labels for FedEx as well as the other carriers. Have had absolutely no issues with increased cost adjustments by FedEx until recently. Recently FedEx did a cost increase adjustment on 3 of my shipments. They were blatantly wrong on the dimensions on the first two as well as wrong on the weight on the third shipment. For lack of time I chose to ignore the increased cost for shipping for the first two but, I am no longer in a position to ignore something that I know is 100% wrong!!
The 3rd item was a small electric motor encased in a wooden box, 16. lbs 10 oz.(shipping out weight), 11"x7"x7". FedEx came back with a shipping cost adjustment based on 17.90 lbs and charged an extra $29.80.
I have 10 more of these motors in their manufacturer’s boxes with the same dimensions and all weigh under 17 lbs. In addition, I weighed one at my local post office.
