No purchase history for item received
l ordered some items, seller sent me some generic items that weren't what was being advertised, when I try to apply for a refund the items don't appear in my purchase list. I have the email with the order number.
I must’ve purchased as a guest, since it asks me to register when I try to contact seller. How do I go about this? I already have an account, do I have to open up a new account just to get a refund? Thank you for your suggestions.

You have inadvertently purchased as a Guest.
First, you are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from receipt: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
Next, you may have inadvertently purchased as a Guest so you will have to log OUT of your eBay account to do anything with the Guest purchase. The email you received should have a link for you and this Help page will assist you as well: Buying as a guest | eBay
On a side note, Guest purchases cannot be merged with an eBay account nor can you leave Feedback on the transaction.
