·3 years agoYes, you have to cover the refund.
When the funds are avaliable, they will be sent to the checking account you provided.

Mentor3 years agoDon't refund if you don't have the item or want it returned first. If you haven't shipped the item, then click on Cancel in the drop down menu next to it, this will also refund. And yes, if the buyer's payment has not cleared yet, you front the refund amount until it does.

OP3 years agook so the money ebay takes out right now for the refund i will get back once the hold is released ?

1. If you have enough money in your Available funds the refunded amount will be taken from that.
2. If you do not have enough Available funds then you have to use your back up payment method like bank account, credit card, PayPal, etc.
3. You will be paid the funds when they are released from being on Hold
