no payment on auction item
how long should you wait to get paid for an item that was won on an item, or how long should you allow a winning bidder to get payment to you after an itemized invoice is sent and no communication from the prospective buyer

·3 years agoFour full calendar days from the transaction (there is usually no good reason to send an invoice,* and it is irrelevant to the timing). If the transaction occurs on Sunday you can cancel the transaction for non-payment at 12:01 am Pacific time on Friday. Or if you have made some other arrangement with the buyer you can give him/her up to 30 days (from the transaction, not full calendar days) before you lose the ability to cancel for any reason. If you are giving him/her more than the 4 day minimum make sure that you either do not have your Preferences for Items Awaiting Payment https://www.ebay.com/Cancel/Preference/UnpaidPurchase disabled or that particular buyer's ID in the exclusion box at the bottom.
*ETA: eBay sends plenty of reminders to pay to the buyer and you sending more is apt to tick him/her off. Invoices are for combining or otherwise adjusting s/h.

Mentor3 years agoThe buyer has 4 days to pay. On day, cancel the transaction, selecting the reason 'buyer has not paid'.
