No credit given for gift card
I bought a pair of shoes and used a gift card. T he entire amount of the shoes was deducted from my bank account and no credit was given for the gift card. The seller says it's not their fault and they can't do anything. I need a phone number to ebay so I can get my $50.00 back

Did you enter your gift card's code at check out? You would have needed to do that when you paid, unless you made an offer or won an auction that had the auto pay message in it when you placed a bid or sent an offer.
( By sending an Offer / Placing a bid, your payment info on file will be charged if the offer is accepted / If you win the auction)
Since gift cards are not kept on file your standard payment method is used.
Do a Google search for " Gift Card FAQs, ebay " the articles that show up there can probably explain why your card was not charged.
