No 12 hour response time on male an offer
If I recall correctly, ebay used to offer an option for buyers when making an offer to give the sellers only 12 hours to respond.
Not anymore. I admit…I do like to offer a lowball price and was amazed at how many went through. Usually, if a seller accepts, they do right away anyway. It shouldn’t take 12 hours…and certainly not 24!
eBay is trying to help sell more, who they see as their real customers. This makes sense. But they’re killing the buyer experience. More and more of my wallet is going elsewhere.

·2 years agoeBay has experimented with different maximum expiration times (they expire earlier if there is a bid on the auction or the listing ends) over the years, sometimes giving 2 or 3 options on the time. They seem to have settled on 24 hours for a Best Offer for now.

Not all sellers are on eBay checking messages 24 hours a day. Many users can easily go twelve hours without checking a phone at all.
Most likely you would be disappointed to find you had received a good offer from a seller only to discover that the offer had expired before you had the chance to take advantage of it.
If twelve or 24 hours is too long for you to wait for a response to an offer you make, consider simply buying outright rather than making an offer which may require a response from someone who is not online at the moment.
