New to eBay and have some questions about buying a motorhome
Yes I found an amazing Motorhome that is perfect for what my fiancé and I are looking for, my only concern is how we go about buying it and all that. The seller let me know that we will have 5 days to test the Motorhome to make sure it’s what we want and if we decide that we wanna buy it the money will then be sent to her for payment. What I’m confused about is do my fiancé and I send the money to eBay and they put it in an account that no one can touch and it’s not some kind of scam? That’s our main worry is that it’s some kind of scam and we definitely don’t have the money to be scammed out of $800 more. So I’m trying to find someone who can explain this whole situation to my fiancé and I so that we understand what’s going to happen step by step if we decide to buy this Motorhome. So please please get back in touch with me so that I can have a better understanding of what eBay does to help protect not only us but the person selling the Motorhome.
Thank you so very much

Mentor2 years agoI'm sure it IS amazing. However it only exists in your imagination. There is no motorhome, only stolen photos of one.
This is a common scam, and you are dealing with a criminal who is trying to steal your money.
eBay has nothing to do with listings on other sites. If the item isn't listed on the eBay website and if you don't purchase it through the eBay listing, the transaction has nothing to do with eBay.

You can report the listing to the site where you found it.

Scam.
Who would ever loan a vehicle to a stranger for five days?
There is no motor home, just a criminal waiting for you to send them the gift cards.
eBay has nothing to do with any other website.
At least you’re questioning it.
A Google search of that image of the motor home will show you how many others are listing that same vehicle.
Be careful out there.
