New Shipping Cost Policy
I have a 100% buyer rating.
I charge the post office freight charge and not the discounted eBay net cost.
i have never been criticized by a buyer for a high freight cost.
My eBay rating of 5 stars across the board has now been changed to 4.3 for reasonable freight costs.
This must be automatic down-rating by eBay since no customer has ever objected.
I think there is a price problem but it’s with eBay’s high commission rate.
They now try to pass of as our attempt to profiteer from freight costs or worse… EBAY IS TAKING MORE MONEY OUT OF YOUR POCKET! And, they are arbitrarily downgrading your rating to punish you.
Look out eBay, Marketplace is cleaning your clock with a more attractive model.

Effective May 15, eBay changed its policy on how Calculated Shipping is shown to Buyers in listings. Buyers will now see the eBay discounted rate instead of the post office rate unless the Seller opts out. If you want your Buyers to see the post office rate in your listings, you would need to change your Account Settings.
In the meantime, the 5-star ratings come only from Buyers. Either one or more of your Buyers gave you a low rating for shipping costs. If I had to guess, it's the Buyer of the wall mounts. He gave you positive feedback but was disappointed in the product.
It is completely up to each Seller to decide if they want to pass along their shipping savings to their customers.

OP2 years agoThank you. I did opt out. Guess there must be more to the freight comments than I realized. The guy with the wall mounts was disappointed but the manufacturer clearly gives his model as compatible. Guess we just keep on doin our best. Congratulations on your success. Wow!
