New Seller: Printed the USPS Ebay label shipped out 45+ orders only half received their cards
Summary: teajayscardz is a new seller who shipped trading cards using bubble mailers and encountered issues with 28 orders lacking tracking updates. They attempted to resolve a situation with additional shipping costs for a customer. Despite reaching out to eBay, they received no support. disneyshopper advised against using bubble mailers for eBay Standard Envelopes due to specific size requirements for scanning. They provided tracking websites and instructions on filing claims for lost deliveries. Claims must be filed 30 to 90 days after creating the shipping label.
As a new seller I was shipping out my cards in bubble mailers but they met all of the standards for the ebay shipping label. A majority of the cards went through without any issue but now I have 28 orders with 0 tracking updates. I sent each buyer a picture when I dropped the card off for delivery. I was alarmed when a customer reached out about additonal shipping they owed and I quickly took care of the situation. No updates on USPS for the tracking number. I called Ebay and did not receive any support. I just want to make sure my customers get their cards. What can I do?

MentorJul 12, 2026 at 3:24 PMIf you are using the ebay standard envelope to ship your trading cards, do not use bubble envelopes. I believe they are thicker than the requirements for the ESE.
The ebay standard envelopes are "read" by the scanners at the sorting machines in the hubs, which is why there are size and thickness requirements. Then they are sent to your local post office for final delivery. That is why they show as DELIVERED several days before actually being delivered to the buyer.
You can try tracking the envelope at any of these sites:

If you have to refund the buyer for an Item Not Delivered case, you can get reimbursed here:

For a lost eBay Standard Envelope sale, file a claim here
https://www.pip-claim.com/PIPClaim/eBayIntClaim/CreateeBayClaim
You'll need to wait 30 days to file a claim. Claims must be filed no later than 90 days from the date the shipping label was created.
