New seller on ebay

Question

I’m selling a vehicle on eBay and I’m new to selling, only bought a few items. I had a buyer reach out to me and negotiated a price and then messaged me with a picture of a text with his phone number to text… (Texas based) I live in Oregon. He stated to text him my address and he’ll mail a check and once it clears he’ll have a transport come get the truck. Idk I don’t feel like this is normal so what do I say to get him to either go through eBay purchasing or not?

@useri_ofx51srmv I suspect that is a scam. I would cease communication and block the buyer. To Block that buyer from your account, add the user name here: https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/BuyerBlock

Just reply to the message that the buyer has to purchase the vehicle via the ebay listing.
