New Seller Looking for Guidance to Succeed on eBay
Hello everyone, I’m new to selling on eBay and I would really appreciate some guidance from experienced sellers. I believe my products have great potential on this platform, but I’m not sure about the best approach in the beginning. Should I invest most of my time and money into eBay right from the start, or is it better to grow slowly and steadily until I understand the market better? Any tips, strategies, or advice that helped you become successful on eBay would mean a lot to me. Thank you so much for your support.

-Buy low and Sell High to increase profit
-Be honest with every single thing you do, like taking pictures of issues on an item, typing out what the issue is, etc.
-Ship fast
-Package your items securely, don't go cheap on packaging items. What the Buyer receives in the mail is the first real impression they have of you. Your packaging needs to send the message that you care loud and clear!
-Accept returns, DON'T use the default No returns policy eBay has on their listing tools. Accepting returns shows that you have confidence in what you are selling.
-Don't use any of eBay's Promotions, they just drive your profit down in advertising fees. Your Buy it now item prices need to cover your item cost, eBay fees and your desired profit. Calculate the starting bid price on Auctions the same way so when an auction sells on one bid you make your profit, more bids means more profits.

Mentor7 months agoSince you have not told us what items you want to sell it is hard to give specific information. Keep in mind that eBay will limit your selling until you gain experience and prove that you will be a great seller who follows the rules. One thing that you should not do right away is to get a store subscription. Until you know you will be listing and selling a significant number of items you would just be wasting your money because of the listing limits that will be imposed on you.
