New postmark rules by USPS
Does anyone know how the new Postmark Rules will affect status of shipping on time on eBay?
NEW RULE: Postmarking letters and packages with the date they are processed at a postal facility rather than when they are dropped off in a mailbox — a shift that could affect whether time-sensitive mail is considered on time.
Does this mean you can drop it off at your local postoffice within the correct number of days, but the tracking number won't be uploaded until it arrives at the facility? This will not reflect your actual shipping day.

The new rules mainly affect items shipped with stamps. If you use stamps, it could affect you.
If you are getting a scan when you drop your items at the post office, this won't affect you.
If you drop your items, and hope they get scanned at the post office, it's always a risk. Some post offices no longer have a 5pm outgoing truck, so your items may not get scanned until the next day. USPS already began this process this fall, so packages aren't new with the postmark rule.
