New policy on bid cancellation requests
This new policy seems all well and good but eBay stopped fully (or even partially) supporting sellers long ago when "buyers" demand returns. So what if the buyer says, 'OK ship it' and then says (for whatever reason) they want to return it?
"Our policy states all auction sales are final and fully supports you in declining the request"
eBay stopped fully (or even partially) supporting sellers long ago when "buyers" demand returns. [Ex. I sold a set of 3 Jordan cards. They were all in very good condition but I made no claims directly or suggestively to how they would grade. The buyer (after opening the screw down holders and nicking an edge putting them back in) demanded a refund and said LITERALLY, 'they are unlikely to Grade a 10'. eBay saw his comment and made me accept the return. As I said, NO seller support.
Your Q&A does not address this which leads me to believe that after declining to cancel the auction win the buyer can accept shipment and then demand a return and then the seller is (1) out the sale (2) out the 2 way shipping & (3) unable to relist the product until its return and examination to insure it is not damaged or altered.
Where does eBay see the seller upside in this new seller friendly policy?
