If one of those items arrive damaged, how do you get reimbursed as that tracking number wont show up on the usps site

This eBay help page explains the eBay Standard Envelope: eBay standard envelope | eBay

The code on the label is scanned by mail sorting machines, NOT the normal barcode scanners at USPS counters, bulk hubs and carriers. The scan is done on a mail sorting machine at a bulk mail center and the last scan is the machine one stop upstream from the Post Office near the Buyer.
