New buyers with no feedback

so I had an offer sent to me from a new buyer with zero feedback and they just opened their profile this month. they sent an offer for an item thatâ€™s $250 and their offer was 220. now this considerably the high priced item and Iâ€™m kind of skeptical about the whole thing being as though they have no feedback and no history at all and they are new. what can I do to help ease my mind and what could they do to prove that they are legit?

Buyers don't need to prove they are legit. Please don't question your buyer and make him feel unwelcome on his first purchase.

How much feedback did you have when you were new? When I was new, I'm glad my first seller was welcoming., because I'm still here 21 years later.

All this said, since it's just an offer, you can decline it if you wish to. That's up to you. But there are risks with every sale, no matter how much feedback a buyer has. The best practice is not to list items that you can't afford to lose if things go wrong.
