New account (June) restricted 2 days after first listing — no reason given, conflicting messages from support
Summary: raziar-11 shared their frustration over their eBay account being restricted shortly after listing their first item, despite multiple attempts to get clarification from eBay support. They are unable to create new listings and have received conflicting messages about their status. They sought advice on escalating the issue and getting in touch with a relevant support team. comics-scifi-collectibles advised checking for discrepancies in account details and suggested reaching out to eBay customer service via social media for further assistance.
Hi all, I created my eBay account in June and listed my first item ever 2 days ago — within 2 days the account got restricted. Seller Hub shows it as "temporarily restricted" and everything else on the account works fine, I just can't create new listings. When I emailed eBay support to ask what happened, they replied saying I'm "permanently blocked," with no reason given despite me asking multiple times. No explanation email ever arrived, even though the restriction message said to check my email for details. I also tried the "call an agent" option, but it doesn't work from my country — no verification code and no call comes through, so I couldn't reach anyone that way either. I'm a genuine new seller and I'm ready to cooperate and provide any documents or ID verification they need — I just want a clear, honest answer about what actually happened and how to fix it. This has already cost me months and it's incredibly frustrating to get conflicting statuses with no real explanation. Has anyone successfully escalated a case like this, or knows a specific team/contact that actually worked for you?

Mentor1 month ago · Edited@raziar-11 I see you are located in another country. There can be a number of problems with setting up a new seller account such as the cell phone location doesn't match the sellers physical location. The name and address and account must be the sellers physical location and match their eBay account and in your case Payoneer account EXACTLY. If you have a business Payoneer account then the eBay account needs to be a business account.
