Never received the items, eBay has closed the case after 21 days - seller doesn't respond , ????
I purchased some guitar patch cables jan 15th. They didnt arrive by the 15th of Feb. Contacted buyer. They said they were having issues, and would resend that week with an apology. Its March 11th, still no items, AND EBAY CLOSED MY CASE AFTER 21 DAYS. Where the heck is my buyers protection?????
Ive tried every link to find a resolution. All lead to CASE CLOSED after 21 days. Contacted buyer twice.
SO, here it is in a pinch. You buy something off eBay, person simply keeps the money for 21 days and you are screwed. I DID contact buyer in the 21 day window. They replied they would send another set. Never sent. contacted buyer AGAIN. I NEVER have read or heard of a rule that states if you buy something and they don't send, you need to file a complaint with eBay in under 21 days or fagetaboutit. WTH!
Does anyone know of a way I can speak to someone from eBay about this? Appreciate any help or info.

You have only 30 days from the last estimated delivery date to file a refund request on eBay. Once you file the case if the seller doesn't respond then you Ask eBay to step in and help on the 4th business day.
If you don't ask eBay to step in as you found out the hard way then the case times out after 21 days.
You do still have a chance for a refund by filing a chargeback with your payment method.
The seller will be charged a much deserved $20 chargeback fee too.

OP5 months agoI purchased item on eve of jan 15th. They supplied tracking with no number, so basically they never sent (????). eBay always sends out the email that item is on its way. Doesn't mean its actually left the post office. 30 days from purchase date Feb 15th I contacted buyer. They apoligized and resent item WITH tracking otherwise I WOULD HAVE filed for protection. But I did open a case Feb 25th incase they didn't send again. SO, its only 21 days after FEB 15th and im out money. Do you get it now? I do. No Protection if you give someone a second chance to make it right. Cmon!

Mentor5 months agoNo I am not an eBay bot. I am a long time seller and buyer on eBay and I am trying to explain to you that if you had opened an INR case within 30 days you would have got a refund. You had 30 days after the last estimated delivery date on your Jan 15th order.......you contacted the buyer on Feb 15th, what you should have done was open an INR case then, the 30 days isn't after you contacted the buyer, it's 30 days after your order.

Mentor5 months agoYou let this seller sucker you and lost your buyer protection when you didn't open a case within your 30 days of estimated delivery of you Jan 15th order.....you say you opened a case on Feb 25th.......that is 41 days after your order........

Mentor5 months agoThe problem is that once you open a case you have 21 days to either get satisfaction from the seller or to "Ask us to step in". If nothing happens for 21 days then eBay automatically closes the case and it cannot be reopened. You will need to go to your payment source to see if they can help.
