Never got an item. Want to report seller.

Question

I paid for this item quickly and didn't receive the item. I contacted the seller and they said the post office misplaced the package and it was being shipped. I never got it. I waited longer than I should have but gave the seller the benefit of the doubt that the item was being shipped.
I did open a case but while waiting for this seller to get the shipment done, they closed the case. What is my next move?

Call your credit card issuer and ask them to open a dispute for an item not received.

The seller did not close the case, eBay did. You must ask eBay to step in before 21 days have passed if you are still not satisfied.
