Neutral review
I gave a neutral review for some items I purchased. The seller is driving me crazy asking me to delete the review. I told them they had to submit a Feedback revision form and they said they can’t do that but I need to delete the review.! Help!

Four neutrals, but they count as only one* because they were left in the same week. The seller says to you that he can't submit Feedback Revision Requests. That's because he doesn't have any left. He has used up all of his Requests. When you check the seller's feedback as a seller, you'll see that he already has 10 revised feedbacks. I was surprised to see that many.
You *could* add a follow up to those neutrals, emphasizing that the misunderstanding was your fault and you're sorry you jumped the gun and left the less than positive feedback. If you can think of a good way to convey your contrition. If I were the seller, I believe I'd prefer you left well enough alone, but that's just me.
* Count as only one in the percentage calculation. Actually, neutrals aren't counted in the calculation in the first place , so the "one for a week's worth" feature is meaningless in that regard. But they still look bad to prospective buyers.

OP3 years agoQuite frankly, I’m tired of this seller badgering me to change my review. If I feel the product is not worth a positive review and only a neutral review, that’s my decision. Regardless of the mixup with the weight of the product, the items themselves were not very good. What’s the point of giving a review if you were going to be pressured to change it? I can’t believe my neutral review is going to harm their business. I would not buy the products again, so why would I give it a positive review? Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Mentor3 years agoI'm happy for you to leave the feedbacks just as they are. It's no skin off of my nose, but as @mr_lincoln said, a buyer's feedback to a seller sometimes says more about themself than it does about the seller. Just trying to be helpful, you are free to disregard everything I say.

OP3 years agoI really don’t think a neutral feedback is bad. The products themselves were not great. I gave them a good review as far as timeliness and shipping.

Mentor3 years ago@deborahd*123 Of the 10 Feedbacks you Left for others 4 are Neutral and one is Negative. eBay considers a Buyer and Seller on a transaction as Trading Partners and encourages them to work things out BEFORE taking action ... like leaving all of that less than Positive Feedback. To me it does not sound like you are doing that and simply slapping down that many Nuetral FBs on one Sellers simply creates an adversarial role between the two of you. I can easily see where they would be angry or upset.
Every member can see the type of Feedback you leave for others so all of that less than Positive FB is a reflection on you too as a Buyer ... I can see other Sellers seeing that and cancelling transactions on you.
You may want to rethink some things ... Sellers can send 5 Feedback revisions per year, that's it.

Just so you know, three of the best responders on the boards have tried to help you. See that Visionary designation under their IDs? That is an earned honor for knowing what they're talking about and for being willing to share that knowledge with members who come here seeking advice. You got the advice, but don't seem to like it. Mentor3 years agoYour seller is in Greece where they use grams, not ounces, so your expectations were not justified.
Your seller may not know how to send a feedback revision request. You can let him know the option is located on his feedback page next to the neutral feedback you left. (You can revise the feedback to a positive, but you can't delete it.)

Mentor3 years agoHe knows how, LOL. He already has 10 revised feedbacks. I think he can't submit one – much less four – because he doesn't have any left.
