Neutral feedback left for a canceled item
Summary: rubuyn expressed frustration about a buyer from Puerto Rico leaving neutral feedback after a canceled transaction that was intended only for CONUS shipping. Despite following eBay's instructions to cancel the bid and refund the buyer, rubuyn was upset about what they consider undeserving feedback affecting their long-standing positive record. lady_madonna countered that the listing showed international shipping options and the feedback did not impact the seller's rating, suggesting the buyer's response was within their rights.
I've been trying to contact ebay for over a month and I'm not getting anywhere. I sold an item that strictly said for CONUS shipping ONLY and also included a photo of where CONUS is. Someone in Puerto Rico bought this item. I contacted ebay and they explained how to cancel the bid and I refunded their money. They turned around and left neutral feedback to be mean. I have all + feedback since 1999 when I started and have worked very hard to keep all positives, only to have someone leave undeserving feedback. The only response Iwas given from ebay was the buyer, although the auction was canceled, cannot leave neutral feedback and called it abuse. What is my next step to get this removed. Please help. Thank you.

Mentor1 month ago · EditedUpon viewing the listing, according to the shipping information, you DO ship to Puerto Rico and there is NO mention of shipping to the 48 states only, as international shipping is shown.
What you state in the description is non-binding.
The buyer had the right to voice their displeasure at having their order cancelled and not being able to receive the item they purchased. The neutral feedback does not affect your feedback rating. It is not "mean" nor "abuse".
