Negative Review Does Not Show Up?
I placed an order for 2 pre-owned clothing items from a seller that has 100% positive reviews. Turns out that both items were not as described - inaccurate sizing and condition. The seller’s page states that they do not accept returns, but I attempted to return the items. I was denied. I no longer see an option for the money back guarantee by ebay. I left reviews with pictures for each item, but neither review shows up - not in the seller’s feedback or in my review history. I no longer see the option to leave a review. What gives?

Now you say that the items were not as described. Was that the Reason you chose when you attempted the return, or are you using that term belatedly. Did you choose Doesn't Fit? It's extremely rare for eBay to deny a Not As Described case, so rare that I don't know of even a single example.

OP8 months agoThanks for your response. That is a good question about my actual wording. I think I used ‘not as described’ in both… something like, “inaccurate size and condition as describedâ€, but I can’t be absolutely certain of the exact phrasing. I don’t see where I can view my return request, and I didn’t screenshot it or anything. I’ve not had to request a return or money back before. Apparently, there is a wrong way to do it. Good to know.

Something in your feedback violated policy.
You don’t see an option for the money back guarantee, because you can only open 1 return for each item. It sounds like you used a reason like doesn’t fit, instead of not as described. You must use not as described for it to be covered by the money back guarantee.
You can call your credit card issuer and ask them to open a dispute for items not matching the description.

OP8 months agoThank you for your answer.
I did not disparage the seller, only described why I was disappointed in what I received with pictures as evidence of the inaccuracies between the actual dresses versus the description by the seller. I have serious doubts about believing seller reviews now. I’ll have to review ebay’s feedback policy.
Glad to know that there is another option for dispute and how to go about it. Thanks.

Mentor8 months agoThe reason why the feedback was removed is because you opened a return request for "does not fit" Since the seller does not accept returns, the request would be closed and in that case, any feedback left would be removed.
As the others pointed out, the correct reason would be for a "Not as described" reason (seller fault) Rather than a buyer changed mind/did not fit remorse reason.
