Negative feedback.
I cancelled an order because the item was damaged and the buyer gave me negative feedback stating I did not give him a reason for the cancellation. I cancelled and by the time I sent him the refund, less than five minutes, he gave the negative feedback. I do not sell damaged goods.

OP5 months agoWhen graded at CGC, the date they placed on the encapsulation sticker was incorrect. They, there were more than one, have been returned to CGC for corrected encapsulation. I originally ordered 20 from Topps and sent to CGC in several shipments for grading. If there is a problem with an item, I refund the purchase price first and then notify the buyer of the cancellation ASAP. As I was typing the notification message, less than a minute from cancellation, I was slapped with the negative feedback.

It sounds like you did not reach out to the Buyer via eBay messaging to let them know you found the item was damaged before you cancelled.
Your listing for this item states in the title it is "Pristine" ... 2025 Topps Now Off-Season #OS-7 Shohei Otani MVP CGC Pristine 10. So what happened between listing and selling and what was the damage?
I also see that you sold that SAME item on rated as a 10 on:
Feb 9
March 4
March 8
March 27
How many of those do you have??????????
Something doesn't sound right, perhaps more information would be helpful.
Communication goes a long way at times ...

Mentor5 months agoWell, it's a good thing you replied to the negative feedback. You may want to use the CONTACT BUYER link and let him know that since you sent a refund right away, you would like to send a Feedback Revision Request form. If the buyer agrees, go to your feedback page, scroll to the very bottom, and the link is on the right side. Once it is sent, the buyer has 10 days to act on it.
If you are using the new messaging system, start typing where it says SEND MESSAGE. The area will enlarge as you type. When done typing, click on that "paper airplane" looking arrow on the right side to send the message.

It is good you reached out to the Buyer and tried to work things out. Since some time has passed you might consider the feedback removal request eBay provides. The link for that is below. I had a Neutral removed recently but I waited over two weeks to use the tool. I also messaged the customer but was ignored in trying to work things out. I used the Report Buyer link on the sold item too and picked a topic closest to the issue then used the typing field to go into more detail. In my case the FB was removed within an hour of submitting the request for removal. Every situation is different but I sincerely hope this will work for you.
