Where is the world other than eBay is there a feedback rating system for buyers. (Nowhere.)
The benefits of feedback for buyers however are that it shows the buyer has a level of experience and it gives the opportunity for the seller to thank the buyer again for his business plus buyers like it.
Sellers evaluate buyers based on the feedback they leave other sellers...not on the feedback they receive.
It's not impossible for sellers to earn negative feedback which is a good thing. Buyers can review a seller's feedback to help decide whether to do business with him. Sellers have an opportunity to show what kind of a seller they are by the way they respond to negative feedback.
It seems like you missed my response on how to handle a non-payer. Earning an unpaid item strike DOES stop that behavior. Feedback never could. Sellers want effective tools and this is one.
Sellers are not allowed to leave negative feedback or comments for a buyer. That's not how you handle an unpaid item.
If a buyer hasn't paid by day five, select the cancellation option in the dropdown next to the order using the reason that the buyer hasn't paid. The buyer will earn an unpaid item strike on his account. Two or more and his ability to buy will be limited or even ended.
Scroll down that page and turn on the option to auto-block buyers with 2 or more unpaid items within 12 months. That will help to protect you from repeat offenders.

OP2 years agoPretty strange that it's seemingly impossible to give or earn negative feedback. Sort of invalidates the system, no? (No answer necessary.)
