Can anyone tell me how to contact an agent? i am dealing with what looks like a fraudulent buyer and need to get guidance from ebay but can't get an agent no matter what I try. Thanks for any help you can give me.

You may be better off asking your question here to get suggestions from experienced users.
To contact eBay, use the chat assistant that you reach from the Help & Contact page to request a chat with an agent or a call back.
What options you see may depend on your particular issue and how busy that department is at the moment.
Try entering "agent" into the chat window. You may have to provide some context to reach the correct department. If you see a "Still need help?" or "More options" choice, either of those should lead to a call back option.
Try contacting eBay via social media direct message:

OP6 months agothank you, all very good advice, but unfortunately I tried all of it and more from the internet. I am beginning to think their AI was broken because I typed 'agent' and many variations, some as questions, but it kept sayint it didn;t understand. I even repeated back to it 'contact agent' when it told me to do so but it didn;t understand that either. One time I got to the point that AI put two buttons in its reply, one that said cue for chat and the other for phone, but both were grayed out so nothing could be clicked on. Anyway, I'll try again tomorrow, but I'm guessing no human help over a weekend. Even ebay's corporate support number told me it was past working hours (that was at 1 o'clock central time today) so if they left for the weekend at lunch, I assume I will be waiting until Monday. As for the social media links, don;t use any of them but again, thanks for the suggestion. What a way to run a nationwide business...🙄

Mentor6 months agoIt might be worth creating a social media account just to reach the folks that respond through those channels.
The number you called was probably not set up for general incoming calls, or else you were forwarded to such a number; that is why you got the "outside business hours" message.
