Need to revise a paid invoice
I sold an item, but need to invoice the paid Buyer for additional shipping charges.
The eBay info I found is incorrect. When I followed the website instructions I could not find any link for a new invoice or access to the old paid invoice. The Buyer is happy to pay the additional shipping. But how can I invoice them?
From eBay website:
You can send or revise an invoice from either My eBay or Seller Hub.
- Find the item:
- In Seller Hub, select Orders - opens in new window or tab
- In My eBay, select Sold - opens in new window or tab
- From Actions, select Send invoice.
- Make any necessary changes (to shipping charges, payment methods, etc.).
- Select Send invoice.

OP3 years agoEBay's inflexible restrictions not allowing revision of an invoice does a disservice to Sellers.
I am new to selling and shipping to international buyers. Two buyers recently paid far too little for shipping.
Until the stamp items were packaged I could not get an accurate shipping cost from the USPS. That made it impossible to inform the buyer of the USPS charge for international delivery. Being unable to adjust the shipping cost will force me to do one of two things: either lose more than $20 on each shipment, or cancel these sales and refund the buyer's payments. That makes no sense at all! It's hard enough to find a buyer. But eBay's anti-Seller policy/rule is not business friendly.

Mentor3 years agoYou need to weigh and measure your items in the their packaging, then enter that info in your listing. eBay will always calculate the correct shipping, as long as you enter the correct info.
If you lost money on international shipments, stop offering international shipping until you can set up a process that works for you.
Think of it from the buyer's side - you buy an item offered with say $10 shipping, then the seller comes back and says, no, sorry, that will be $25. Would you be a happy, returning buyer? I bet not.

Mentor3 years agoYou can not ask the buyer to pay more than what was shown in your listing.
You can not send an invoice after the buyer has paid.
