Need some advice on an eBay order stuck at FedEx
Summary: guzam0 is experiencing an issue with a package stuck at FedEx due to an incorrect ZIP code, which they suspect may have been changed automatically by eBay. Despite contacting FedEx and the seller, resolution has been elusive as FedEx requires the sender to correct the address. Attempts to reach eBay customer support have been challenging, especially since the 'Have us call you' option is unavailable to them outside the US. The package remains in transit status according to eBay, preventing them from opening a case. They are seeking advice on how to get eBay involved or obtain a refund.
My package is currently stuck at FedEx because of an incorrect shipping ZIP code. I believe eBay may have automatically changed the ZIP code on my shipping address, and unfortunately I didn't notice it before the order shipped.
I contacted FedEx, but they told me that only the sender can correct the address. I also contacted the seller, who has been very helpful and tried contacting FedEx himself, but he received the same response.
I've also tried reaching eBay Customer Service, but since I'm currently outside the US, the “Have us call you” option doesn't work for me.
The frustrating part is that I can't even open an “Item not received” case yet, because eBay considers the package to still be in transit. However, I know it's actually stuck at FedEx and cannot be delivered because of the incorrect ZIP code.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is there any way to get eBay to intervene with FedEx before the estimated delivery date? Does eBay have any customer support email I can reach out to?
At this point, I just need either the package delivered or a refund.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Mentor3 weeks agoYou have to wait until the package is overdue before opening a case. If it still shows in transit, then you have to wait.
Ultimately, you can file a chargeback with your funding source if the item does not show up and eBay doesn't allow a case to be opened.
