Need help with eBay case – iPad locked by company MDM
Hello everyone,
I bought an iPad on eBay, but when I received it and tried to set it up, I discovered it is enrolled in a company MDM (Southland Industries). This was not mentioned in the listing.
Because of the MDM lock, the iPad cannot be used normally as a personal device.
I already contacted the seller, but I have not received a response yet. I also opened a case with eBay.
The problem is that I am currently in Peru because the item was shipped through a forwarding service from the U.S., so returning it internationally would be very expensive.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Is it possible to get help from eBay for a refund or for the seller to remove the MDM remotely without requiring an international return?
