Need help with a fake item and denied return request
Summary: na_819393 purchased a signed album that turned out to be fake. Hello,
I purchased a signed album, and it turned out to be fake. I contacted the seller to inform them that the item is not authentic and that I would like to return it, but they refused. The box is still unopened. I set up a payment plan through the Klarna app, but still my first payment will be processed in 10 days. I have tried calling eBay multiple times, but the automated system would not let me speak with a representative. I need your help resolving this issue.

Mentor1 month ago· Within 30 days from date of delivery, go to your Purchase History, find the item, and under “More actions” click on “Return item” and select the reason for the return. “Doesn't match description“. Attach a photo.
· IF your request is approved, the seller will have 3 business days to either accept the return and provide a prepaid return shipping label OR refund without having you return the item.
· If they don't do either, you can go back to your Return Request details 4 business days after you filed the Request and ask Ebay to step in.

If you select a not as described reason such as doesn't match description then the seller can't deny the return.

Mentor1 month ago@na_819393 that's good. You just need to ask eBay to step in on the 4th business day after filing the request. EBay will then force a refund or make the seller provide a return shipping label.

Mentor1 month agoUnfortunately it sounds like you opened the wrong kind of case. You needed to have opened an "Item not as described" case so the seller could not deny the return and refund. Since you can open only one case against the seller you should go to your payment source and ask about a charge back.
