Need Help on a Refund when purchasing as a guest and E-Bay removes the seller and no followup from seller
Summary: pati3650 ordered items through eBay as a guest and paid via PayPal, but encountered problems when the seller was removed by eBay. Despite the seller's removal notice, there's been no confirmation or update on delivery, and pati3650 is facing difficulties contacting eBay for a refund. krazzykats suggested using a refund link, but pati3650 reported issues with it. eburtonlab advised not being signed into an eBay account when using the guest link. krazzykats also shared a resource for guest purchase assistance.
I had ordered some Jelly Cat items (backback hangers with clip) from the same seller. I paid through PayPal as a guest and received notice from EBay that they removed the seller:
We wanted to let you know that an item you bought is no longer on eBay because of an issue with the seller's account. This may not affect your order at all but we're here to support you in case you run into any problems.
Since you paid for this item before it was removed, your order was processed and it should arrive by the estimated delivery date. If it doesn't, you can always request a refund.due to some concerns
I did not receive a confirmation from the seller or any update on shipping for an item. Even though the prices were lower I am still out of a product and I have an EBay account but did not go through it. I can't seem to ge in touch with a live chat or real person from E-Bay to get this resolved and receive a refund. Any suggestions? As a guest it seems like you're out your money with no way to contact the seller or do any followup since they removed the information.

To see the details, start a return request or report a problem with an item you bought as a guest, you'll need your order confirmation email. This is the email eBay sent at the time of your purchase with all your order details. The subject line starts with "Order Confirmed".
If you don't have that email, you can request another copy of the order confirmation email on this page:
LOG OUT OF YOUR eBay Account first, then
https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-items-not-received-refunds-buyers/returning-item/returning-items-bought-guest?id=4065
Once you have the email, you can view the Order Details and
You can open an Item Not Received case
1) Select View order details in your order confirmation email.
2) Select Item Not Received
3) Follow the steps

That should get a refund started.

You can not use that link while signed in to an eBay account or the link will not work.
