Need help , item not received, lost in mail
Summary: ericcar-96 is experiencing issues with a package that was incorrectly addressed by a seller, causing it to circulate between states and return to the seller's location. Despite attempts to contact the seller and eBay for assistance, responses have been unhelpful. jacbarcollectibles suggests that the seller should adhere to the provided address and recommends contacting USPS directly through their website to resolve tracking issues.
I purchased an item over a month ago , the seller did not put my correct address and the package keeps going to random states , and eventually it goes back to his state . I’ve tried to get seller to help and contact usps ,but he contacted me once saying “I dunno” he won’t even contact me back now. Can’t get eBay to do anything because where the status of tracking number keeps saying “package on its way” eBay was post to step in July , 24th , then today aug 4th now it’s saying Aug 14th . This is getting SUPER RIDICULOUS “ I can’t get seller to do anything and can’t contact eBay because I keep getting AI saying I can’t contact an agent . What am I post to do ? That’s just half of tracking history its came to my State once Va

-Check the Seller's Feedback history and see if other Buyers have complained about not receiving their items.
-Normally, here is what we advise Buyers if they have not received their item by the estimated delivery date and not longer than 30 days past that date: The date you want to keep an eye on is the original estimated delivery date. One day past that is when you can process a claim.
You are protected by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the latest estimated delivery date: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
You can file a claim via the item in your Purchase History that you did not receive your item one day past the original estimated delivery date and up to 30 days after that. Follow the steps in the claim and they will lead to an eventual refund.
-If you waited too long neither eBay nor the seller will help you. The Seller could go to the carrier's website and file a Missing Mail piece which often will update tracking and shake the package loose. Tracking can get wonky at times, I have seen it on my own items. However, if you cannot get satisfaction through eBay then you will have to file a payment dispute with your funding source.

Mentor1 week agoSellers must use the address that you provided on payment. If they use the eBay shipping center they cannot make up any old address to ship the item to as the address is already filled in.
The issue of the package bouncing around is not as rare as you may think. Contact the USPS through their web site and report the problem with the tracking. This usually gets a package back on track within a few days. Your seller may not know this and not know what to do if they have not seen this in the past.
