Hello everyone,
I'm reaching out for advice and support regarding a frustrating situation with a lost package from an eBay transaction I made back in October 2024.
After months of waiting and follow-up, USPS has confirmed the package is officially lost. However, I recently discovered that the seller only insured it for $100, despite the total value being $974.24.
This omission has left me completely unprotected — I paid nearly $1,000 and now I’m being told the maximum reimbursement is just $100.
The seller has said they’re willing to cooperate and do whatever eBay recommends. I’ve contacted eBay and asked them to step in and guide the seller on what’s fair in this case.
I’m not trying to make trouble — I simply want what’s fair: either the product I paid for, or meaningful help recovering my loss.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice or support would be deeply appreciated.
