need advise-regarding seller not providing a fully disclosed accurate complete product description
As mentioned, seller did not provide a full disclosure of product description. In particular, some item defects were provided in the product description and represented as needing repair. Other defects were not part of the product description which negated any defects qualifying for repair, all of which fall into the category of replacement. Seller does not accept returns. Have not reported these issues to the seller as of yet and am trying to avoid any negative feedback on their behalf. Please advise. Thank you kindly for your time and thoughtful consideration regarding this matter.

OP8 months agoDear Ebay Support Community and Mentor eastlaneave,
first things first. Thank you for your responsive correspondence. I only wish my reply was as expedient.
Your insight is of great value and greatly appreciated. After careful consideration I’m reaching out once again for your feedback. My query concerns making contact with seller about product description short comings. Seller, as mentioned previously doesn’t accept returns however, I would like to give the seller the opportunity to make some sort of offering as compensation, mutually concluded as satisfactory for both parties. If the outcome can’t be of mutual agreement then I will go forward with a Return Request. Please advise.
Thank you kindly,
Leonard

1) You can contact the seller if you wish.
Be sure you make no threats about bad feedback etc.
Just explain the issue and ask if they have ideas. Don't demand anything.
2) All sellers accept returns for items not as described. Through the return process, you can accept a partial refund as well.

OP8 months agoDear Ebay Support Community and Mentor eastlaneave,
As of yesterday, January 28, 2026 I decided not to go forward with contacting the seller. As initially suggested, I opened a Return Request. The reply that I recieved on January 28, 2026 is as follows:
“The return request for the item has been closed.â€
Additionally, I was informed “The seller declined the return requestâ€.
When opening a Return Request and out of respect for the seller’s reputation rather than revealing anything negative, my Return Request reason was communicated as “Ordered the wrong itemâ€. All things considered I did order the wrong item as a result of the seller not providing a fully disclosed accurate complete product description.
That said, once again I’m reaching out for your help regarding this matter. Please advise.
Thank you kindly,
Leonard Zangs

I'm sorry that happened.
The return was closed because of the reason you chose. Wrong item is a buyer's remorse reason. Seller's who don't accept returns can decline a buyers remorse reason.
If you had chosen one of these reasons that I suggested:
The reason could be "Damaged or Defective Item", "Missing Parts & Pieces" OR "Different from what I ordered > Didn't Match Description" if the item you got was not what was shown and described.
The return request would not have closed, and you could have gotten a partial refund or a return for a full refund.
You can try to appeal the the case closing which I think will not be effective.
Here is where to appeal: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/-/appeal-outcome-case-buyer?id=4039
You must provide NEW information about what is wrong with the item. Include photos.
You best option is probably a chargeback on your credit card, again, explain what is wrong with the item.

I am sorry that happened!
You should open a Return Request. The reason could be "Damaged or Defective Item", "Missing Parts & Pieces" OR "Different from what I ordered > Didn't Match Description" if the item you got was not what was shown and described.
You can open your return request here. Just click the photo and follow the instructions.

Do not close your return request until you either have your refund in hand or you have the replacement item. Do not close it because the seller promises you something.
