If your checking account was hacked and not your eBay account, you need to contact your bank ASAP, not eBay.

Even if it was an eBay purchase, that means that a criminal got a hold of your bank account number and happened to make a purchase with it on eBay. He could just as easily made the purchase somewhere else.
