Necklace I purchased this month stolen mail

Question

Hi there I am a regular eBay buy, I purchased a necklace in the beginning of this month and I asked the seller to write on the package to have package delivered to front door in "Big Bold".

Under the USPS it shows that the package arrived in front mailbox where I ask seller to not have package delivered to, I cannot reach a representative of eBay to assist me for "Steps to step in" and now I am out the necklace and the money I spent for this item.

I need help please, what can I do to get my money back from eBay?

I sympathize. I have "Deliver to door" in my address for purchases on eBay and on other websites. Unfortunately, 90% of the time, the carriers do not follow my instruction and leave the packages in the mailroom instead.

eBay can't help you with packages that are stolen after delivery. You can however contact the carrier to lodge a complaint. You can also contact the police to let them know about the criminal activity in your neighborhood. You can have future deliveries to go a safer address...perhaps a work address or the address of a friend or relative. Finally, if the item was valuable enough to warrant this, you can check with your homeowners policy about filing a claim.

I have had packages delivered to my porch and it shows mailbox so that is not proof that the seller didn't do it. They didn't do anything wrong
