Summary: autotran is seeking advice on obtaining a refund from eBay for a shipping issue where a package was returned without explanation. selforfun suggests verifying the shipping program used and advises contacting eBay for clarification on the return and refund responsibilities. They also offer contact methods for eBay support to address the $22.75 shipping charge the customer paid.
How do I get a refund from ebay shipping? I shipped Jun 2nd and package want to the ebay shipping center. It was returned to me July 6th for no know reason. On June 12th it was "Processing at Consolidation Center" Then on July 2nd it was "Your shipment is being returned due to issues encountered.". Unknown what the issue(s) were, the customer confirmed the address was correct. How do I get the $22.75 back that the customer paid to have the parcel shipped? I have to refund him. Thanks, Dave

Mentor1 month agoHello Dave,
First check the order details to confirm which international shipping program was used.
If it was eBay International Shipping and tracking confirms the package reached eBay’s domestic hub, do not manually refund the buyer yet. Contact eBay and ask them to review why it was returned and whether they will handle the buyer’s refund.
If it was eBay International Standard Delivery, you may need to refund the buyer, including the original shipping charge. Ask eBay Shipping Support to review the $22.75 label charge since the consolidation center returned the package without explaining the issue.

OP1 month agoI really can't figure how to get the $16.00 I paid to eBay without spending up to an hour talking to an eBay rep I usually can't understand (I also have poor hearing). The last time I got a refund from eBay , it did take an hour (actually 59 minutes) to accomplish this.
I don't have a problem with my customer as he paid me an extra $24.00 for me to reship via UPS and it is now suppose to arrive on July 14th. But I really need to repay the $22.75 he previously paid eBay as it was not his fault (or mine either). I can pay him the $6.75 I have left over right now but I would like to repay him the $22.75 all at the same time. Thanks, Dave
