Hello everyone,
I've been running a dropshipping business on eBay using Wholesale2B, primarily focusing on pet products like pet houses and harnesses. However, I've noticed that many trending items currently fall under the Fragrance and Home & Garden categories. This situation has left me pondering whether I should shift my focus and rebrand my store to target these popular categories.
Given that Wholesale2B offers efficient shipping and return handling, which is a relief compared to traditional dropshipping challenges, I'm contemplating whether to leverage this for different product niches.
I'm seeking advice on a couple of points:
Is it more beneficial to stick with the pet niche, or should I adapt and transition to the more popular Home & Garden category?
How do you evaluate when it's the right time to pivot your business focus?
What factors should be considered when deciding to change branding, and how might this impact current customer perceptions?

Let me give you some really good advice before you actually start to sell. DO NOT DROP SHIP. While it may initially sound like a really good idea in the end you are only as good as your weakest link, which happens to be the companies filling your orders. Only sell items you have on your own shelves and what you can accurately keep track of your own inventory. In the end, if the companies you are drop shipping with run out of an item you will have to cancel using the Out of Stock reason which results in bead strikes on your account which can drop your Seller level or result in suspensions or restrictions.

Mentor1 month agoFragrances must be shipped using a ground service, with a Hazmat label, so international shipping is out. Take that into consideration before deciding to switch.
